Phillip ...

Today's visit went well.

At least the beginning was good.  The end was sad ... Partings will always be hard.    .

I wish everyone who helps with Phillip's care could know the real man instead of seeing only another patient in a hospital bed.

Phillip is truly a man of great value ... a man who quietly held on to his basic goodness even during those long-ago years when Multiple Sclerosis first began its terrible destruction of his body and he felt  so alone with his fear.

MS has now slowed Phillip's  ability to express thoughts, but the disease hasn't diminished his high intellect one bit.

He's smart and he's good.

I'm so proud he's mine.
