2015 is half gone and I've only posted twice on my blog. Still, readers keep coming, and I appreciate every single one.
Yesterday, there were 62 from the United States and a sprinkling from Germany, Russia, Australia, China, Czech Republic, France, United Kingdom, Israel, Ukraine, and one person from Poland.
For years the chart keeps showing one person from Poland. Is it the same person each time? I have no way of knowing.
I'm going to write more often from now on. Last week marked the beginning of my 79th year. Unless I talk fast there may not be enough time to say everything.
Many like my work and complain when I stay silent too long. A few may not appreciate my way of thinking, and to them I offer a gentle reminder: This blog is not required reading.
Brett Anthony, Aubrey Rose, Emma Violet, Dylan Danielle, Victoria Nix, Drake Cooper, Joshua Allen, Emma Kate, Noah Edward and the soon-to-be Marlee Paige ... my precious great-grandchildren ... you are never far from my mind as I write. I like to believe that in some far distant time ... maybe half-a-century from now ... you'll read my words and feel my love for you.
Brett, your father owns some uniquely written memories of your grandfather's childhood and your great-grandfather's teenage years, and someday, when you've grown older and want to understand the lives of your ancesters better, those papers will be handed down to you. When that time comes, I know you will share the information freely with your cousins.
